Butternut Squash Time
Butternut squash has recently come onto the food scene, and we are loving it! It can be done as either a side or as a main course meal. One way that we personally love eating butternut squash is by stuffing it. There are numerous stuffing combinations you can do including, wild rice, quinoa, cranberries and more. Casseroles are often a favorite side. Who doesn’t love a good casserole?
Now there are plenty of ways to change up this long and true favorite. A little unusual way to add some flare is adding in some peanuts or even cranberries to give it a new taste.
In the past decade, there have been some amazing new restaurants opening with (sometimes daring) new cuisine introducing many of us to new and tasty recipes that we can also find on Pinterest and food blogs. Cauliflower is a great healthy alternative. You can cook it in the oven, add spices, and make some old fashion gravy to go with it.
