Tips & Tricks to Eat More Low Carb

So often we go to the gym, or an exercise class, and then come home wondering what to eat that will give our body fuel, but without feeling bogged down. Here are a few alternative options to think about when you’re at the grocery store! 

Snacks – Air Fry ‘Em!

Sometimes we have our healthy meals figured out, but our snacks aren’t exactly there yet. Well, it’s super easy to make healthy vegetables like cauliflower or zucchini super tasty! 

Take some cauliflower, zucchini, or both, chop them into rounds or fries, shake on parmesan cheese or any flavoring you desire, and then air fry them. Depending on your air fryer we suggest anywhere from setting it to 350 – 400 degrees for 8 to 12 minutes. If you are making them for the first time, we recommend checking on them halfway through to make sure they’re cooking evenly. 

A personal favorite are a version of hot chips with zucchini seasoned with paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne. You can sprinkle each seasoning over the evenly sliced zucchini, or you can mix them 

Stuff It Up!

Most of us are pretty familiar with loaded potatoes, but if you’re watching your carb intake, they aren’t your friend. We can take that concept and apply them it too much healthier options like cauliflower and red peppers!

With toppings like rice, quinoa, avocado, cheese, chicken/beef, sour cream, tomatoes, and so many more you can really jazz up a meal.
