FSC Sports Club Members,

I hope this update finds you well and enjoying a great start to 2025.  The weather hasn’t been overly accommodating for golf this winter, but warmer weather is right around the corner.  If you’re like me, once I start seeing Masters commercials on TV, the golf bug hits hard.  I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on some exciting projects currently taking place at our courses.

At Eagle Ridge, we are well into the planned renovation of bunkers on holes 14 and 15.  We expect to complete these within the next month.  In addition, we removed several trees on #16 to give the green more sunlight and we are building a new black tee box on the same hole.  In the clubhouse, we have updated the restrooms with new paint and are in the process of renovating the locker areas.  We expect to offer locker rentals at some point this spring and will provide more information in the near future.

At Riverwood we have cleared some trees behind Deer Run #5 to improve sunlight to the back of the green.

At Olde Liberty, I’m happy to announce that DJ Carman, who was our superintendent at Hedingham for many years, and his wife Heather are now leading the maintenance team.  We have an ambitious agenda for improvements set for this year, and I’m excited to watch them begin the transformation of the course.  They’ve already hit the ground running as they’ve been able to clear all of our natural areas and crossovers to improve sight lines on several holes.  In the coming weeks you will begin to see preparations made for new sod as well as bunker restoration throughout the course.

This past weekend we kicked off the FSC Cup Season with our Super Bowl Shamble Tournament at Riverwood.  We had a record 143 participants who came out and enjoyed the incredible weather.  We are looking forward to another memorable member tournament season.  Our Individual Match Play tournament will begin March 1 so be sure to sign up soon if you plan to play.  Also coming up in March will be Luck o’ the Irish at Eagle Ridge on March 15.

Happy golfing and I look forward to seeing you at one of our courses soon!
